You stand, distant as a wandering star A ghost wrapped up in skins of my making Responsive to the beating blackened heart Ratteling your jewellery to your king Threatening the peace I have assembled Your words design meaning from my books The way you stood there, my heart trembled How my back arched and you released your hooks Precious skin, lips the colour of red satin I am nourishment to your deep famine Such an image challenges refusal But the power you yield brings approval A vision once conceived, but now lost You invade my space, spreading your arms out Days like these were soon hazarded with cost But your exotic eyes damn any doubt You're slender, curving shapes around my life Transforming war with a new effect Yet you did make these bones free from young strife I know you remain to watch and protect How fragile must this grand world be, I ask In old age, afraid you wore a dark mask To then curse a once warm fragile embrace A soft memory, tender like black lace! Your nails were sharp and wet with dull blood Every murmur becomes holy with time You sweep over, like a forceful fast flood Like the currents overcoming mankind The past conflicts the future, The chapel cradles your soft lean body I hope the future had come sooner For truth to vanquish every face of greed On the grounds, you see flowers live and die Frantic searching for you is all I knew A slow drive to the abyss of the night Then I'll see you on the wet morning dew Drink in your sins, just like holy water Surrender to the devil's slick slaughter Inside this shell, something unknown exists An eagle, hindered by the aching wings His rational direction gone amiss The violent winds sweep right over his strings By passion alone, the earth is shaking Another bird seeks out the weak to pay Possibly the hungry vulture, aching To soar in the cruel sky stalking some prey This fragment of myself is buried there In the pale ocean, buried below The fragment of my child lies so fair The dreamer waits and everything is slow The film of life wraps itself around bones Belonging to us, our hands become stones Your shadow drifts close outside my window Lights burning bright right in front of my eyes My heart coils around you, black widow I can still hear the world's hollow goodbyes But where your presence burns fierce in twilight I see this man in the eyes of the flame Separation keeps him out from sight Because we grew so weary of the same The ocean looks so beautiful at night Silence brings us together in unity The way we both understand the small sprite We close the book, this is the final deed Waiting in near triumph while the wheel turns The call becomes louder as the hand burns.
