I am Now Officially a Phase One Certified Professional
I recently attended a two day course hosted by Phase One, basically this was to become a Certified Professional and is incredibly important in my opinion to work as a technician or assistant for a Photographer.
This link can tell you a lot more about the workshops offered by Phase One:
http://www.phaseone.com/en/Workshops/POCP.aspx
I have learned how to correctly use the Digital backs and their newest camera's, including the correct way to put the camera's together. Also I learned about technical processes within Capture One the software which streamlines and helps the sessions become much faster and better managed.
Most importantly I am now able to troubleshoot issues with either product, and I'm equipped with the ability to know which Backs will work best in each situation. Because their are many which have significant properties best used in certain situations.
I would certainly recommend this course to others as it simply prepares you for the high octane and important role of managing these camera's and this software.
The knowledge is also inherently helpful for a practicing sole Photographer as this will streamline and make your work much easier to manage. It'll give you the chance to open the work to clients easier and give them something of control with the images.
There are many useful aspects, such as stopping the work flow on one image, but allowing the photographer to continue shooting images. It allows you to check whats happening to the images. Also there is a function to show the images remotely to the client, for example through a web Browser or on a device such as an iPad or other tablets.
