The tale of the giant li, and how the world came to be ^^

The sun and the moon had a child, a giant named Meong Li. But Meong Li was a violent child, and so his parents sent him down to the seas below, where the water spirits resided. He fought the water spirits off and made a home for himself, and when he died, his soul ventured back to the heavens. But his parents denied him, telling him he wasnt ready.

And so he was sent back down, reincarnated as the giant Fau Li. Fau Li once more fought the water spirits off, and made a home for himself near the corpse of his previous incarnation. But when Fau Li died and tried to rejoin his parents in heaven, they once more denied him, and he was sent back down again, this time as the giant Nung Li

This process repeated many times. Nung Li was born, fought the water spirits, died and was denied a place in heaven, and he was reincarnated as Song Li, Kan Li, Xen Li, Den Li, Yed Li, and at last; Bai Li.

Bai Li was different from the rest. The Giant Li had grown tired of fighting, and when he descended, instead of fighting the water spirits, he left them be. He made his home in the far corner of the seas, surrounded by the corpses of his 8 previous incarnations. He lead a peaceful life. And when he ascended to the heavens once more, expecting to be kicked back down, his parents welcomed him with open arms, and he took his place in the sky.
