#Repost @danaigurira (@get_repost) ・・・ For as long as I can remember, #elephants, #rhinos, and countless other wildlife have had their very existence threatened by poaching. It’s deeply important to me that future generations in my home country, #Zimbabwe, and people around the world get to enjoy the majestic creatures that we have been entrusted to protect. Join me and @WildAid and fight back. You can help me spread the word by sharing this new PSA and by always saying no to rhino horn products. @zimbabwetourismauthority #PoachingStealsFromUsAll #WhenTheBuyingStopsTheKillingCanToo #WorthMoreAlive #WildlifeConservation #Zimparks #WildAid https://www.instagram.com/p/BrloDlghmy9/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1cin463s4zdlm
Great news! CHINA ANNOUNCES DOMESTIC IVORY BAN: The end of the world's largest ivory market was announced today by the Chinese government. Domestic ivory sales will be banned by the end of 2017 with the first batch of factories and traders to close their business by March 2017. China's impending exit from the ivory trade is the greatest single step that could be taken to reduce poaching of elephants. We will continue to support their efforts through education and persuading consumers not to buy ivory.
