like in the demo it gave me chikorita and im like ok chikorita is cool thats good

remembered that sylveon is in the pmd remake and suddenly idk which starter i want to play as
like im not sure i want to play the whole game as eevee because it doesnt have a big variety of attacking moves? (im not a fan of normal type, at least) and id have to wait until the postgame to get sylveon (and otherwise wouldnt be able to recruit one until waaaay later i think? serebii hasnt added where to get each pokemon yet but if it’s just recruiting a regular eevee it’s in a dungeon you get partway into the postgame so i guess i could get it then?)
i didnt even get very far into the postgame of the original because the dungeons were really hard so tbh it’s probably not worth it. the me of a decade and a half ago may have been fine spending a ton of time grinding to get lucario rank and super mobile (therefore spending more time in the postgame) but i dont know if i want to do that again
maybe i’ll get further into the postgame than i did last time but that 99-floor jirachi dungeon where youre reset to lv1 still sounds like something i’d like to avoid playing. still annoyed they put the conclusion to gengar’s storyline behind that

oh yeah btw i forgot to mention last week i uploaded my stream of the pmd remake demo
sometime soon i need to check (again) the delay i set on my mic (to match the unavoidable elgato delay) because it definitely wasnt synced correctly when i was singing along to the music but oh well
im absolutely digging out my nintendo power guide for pmd to use with the remake
pmd demo thoughts
rip generic attack that doesnt use pp and is a convenient way to skip turns 2005-2020, you will be missed. now i guess i gotta press A and B to skip a turn (iirc?) like some kind of barbarian
im disappointed i cant play as fennekin (and have a mimikyu partner because you know they need to be an option when gen vii finally gets in the series) but oh well. wouldve liked them to add more pokemon but it seems we’re at least getting lucario and some mega evolutions and it’s definitely better than no remake at all
not sure if it’s a demo thing but i cant find the rank points anywhere? and it didnt say i got any when i did jobs? anyway however this works i hope it isnt too much of a grind to get to lucario rank again, that was a lot of work and the main reason i never replaced blue after i lost it
