Soooo I just had this weird little dream. Long story made very short, it essentially ended with the idea of being sent to the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon universe (thus kicking off the start of the game’s storyline) to work off a great wrongdoing or crime and redeem myself through “community service” (which is what they called it, but I’m pretty sure referred to the exploring or rescuing or whatever). I guess it especially worked out because I would have had nowhere left to go in my own world what with the stigma of what happened.
It was also kinda weird, though--the entryway or portal or whatever was this very visible lake or pond on this little dropoff island, and the "character select" I guess was this lady at a terminal with several color-coded computers.
