Hey bestie, welcome backâ€ïž Can a request a San one where they are a couple but somehow reader hears him mention to another member that lately reader is too clingy?
Thank youuuđ„°
I changed it a little bit, to add some more drama but hopefully you like it bestie â€ïžđđ
âMin-gi, stop. Forrealâ, San hissed in a low tone as he was not at all in the mood for the current conversation. No one could deny the fact that the singer was annoyed to the max. Min-gi gave a slight annoyed chuckle before shaking his head, the frustration also getting to him. âI am speaking nothing but the truth, though. You have to admit it. I mean, if the managers are also telling you to do something about it, then I don't know what to tell youâ.
San glared at his friend while his jaw clenched at the spoken words.
No one knew that you were standing just outside the changing room, their favourite coffees in a bag along with some baked goods, your âgood luckâ ritual that every member loved receiving before their shows. Not a tone left your lips as an exciting feeling gently swayed through your body. It had not been your intention to eavesdrop but at the same time, you always wondered what was going on Min-giâs mind and what or who had the rapper in such a serious mood. The rapper was a master of looking mysterious and sometimes it was even hard for you to figure out what was going on inside of his head.Â
Min-gi always had deep opinions about people, projects and just life in general. His artistic gift always left the closest people around him wrapped in awe as he had such a profound way of articulating his feelings. At the same time, he could talk so much, say so many words and not have any type of feelings behind them. You secretly called him a chameleon behind his back because you never knew which direction a conversation with him would go.
âThe managers also know that I will do as I pleaseâ, your boyfriendâs voice resumed the conversation, making you raise an eyebrow in curiosity as you were dying to know what had him so annoyed.
âThe managers just want whatâs best for you, best for the whole group. Think about thatâ, Min-giâs voice got harsher at the last sentence. Oh, this sounded like an argument. Shit, you thought to yourself. Now the two men really needed your little tradition as you knew that they needed to focus on killing their upcoming performance and not fight with each other. You gripped the bag with the coffees tightly as you prepped yourself to interrupt the conversation the second it would blow up. The boys were in urgent need of a delicate. sweet distraction.
San huffed in anger, then the room fell silent.Â
You couldnât help but furrow your eyebrows while feeling your heart skip a beat, the feeling of being an intruder becoming stronger by the second but the urge to calm the situation down tugging at your heart.
âMin-gi, donât you dare go into that direction. I know that youâre saying this with an underlying intentionâ.
âDo you, though?" Because I feel like youâre trying to push the matter to the side and pretend like no one is noticing it allâ.
Min-giâs words made you take in a sharp breath and hold it. This sounded like a serious matter, a situation that apparently had so many people involved, with no solution in sight.
A slow exhale escaped your lips the second your lungs started to burn from the oxygen it was holding captive. Your stomach churned as thousands of thoughts started to spin in your head.Â
It was silent again, but the atmosphere was heavy. No one could deny that.Â
You couldnât see your boyfriend glaring at his group member, his eyes piercing so ferociously as his hands balled into fists. This was not the moment to address the elephant that had been existing in the room ever since Min-gi first had laid his eyes on you.
âChoose your next words wiselyâ San slowly warned as he couldnât help but tilt his head to the side, the anger in him bubbling intensely in his stomach. The show was now an afterthought. He couldnât go on the stage like this.
âNow youâre threatening me?â Min-gi taunted, loving the fact that he finally got to see some frustration and fear in Sanâs eyes, âIs this what it has come to? All because I am speaking the truth?â.
âMin-gi, I swear if you continue to-â
â(Y/N) is fucking clingy. And youâre too afraid to tell her thatâ.
The words hit you like a punch to the gut. Tears couldnât help but instantly form in your eyes as you felt an instant weight of misery hang onto your shouldersâŠSo this is how Min-gi really felt about you. You had been the focus, the main topic and for fuckâs sake, you didnât know why.
Defend me. Fucking defend me, this is some bullshit, you thought to yourself as thousands of doubtful thoughts started clouding your mind.Â
You couldnât see the shock on Sanâs face, the pure astoundment as the words replayed in his head. His lips parted to speak but no words came out, just stunned puffs of air while he shook his head in disgust. San didnât know that you were standing outside next to the open door, biting hard on your lower lip to stop it from trembling as a pained throb pounded in your chest.
âAm I wrong though?âMin-gi's now calmer tone spoke after a whole minute of silence. His face now showed a neutral look as a deep feeling of satisfaction settled in him. His mission was completed successfully. â You know that Iâm right, hence the silenceâ. The rapper took a step closer to San and put his hand on friendâs shoulder while letting out a long sigh, âMaybe itâs time to put some distance between the two of you. Think about itâŠWe are about to start our world tour and we canât have you so- âŠdistracted, manâ, the last words were meant to be a comfort but they came out as a sympathetic reminder.
You swallowed the lump that had formed itself in your throat before you turned around and instantly walked into the room, surprising the two men who stared at you like a deer caught in headlights.
â(Y/N), I- donâtâ, you interrupted Min-gi. âI heard enough. Nice to finally see your true colors, chameleonâ, you said with a hurt huff and shook your head in disappointment. The rapper opened his mouth but you held a hand up to silence him. He obeyed.
Your eyes now turned to your boyfriend who already had a pained, begging look on his face. His eyes staring deeply into your as he still was trying to find the words to explain this bullshit of a shitshow.
âAnd you, my loveâ your pet name coming out as a disgusted huff, âSince you havenât disagreed with your friend, I assume that what heâs saying is trueâ. San swallowed hard before his hands unballed and tried reaching out for you. You took a step back and shook your head, more tears blurring your vision but youâd rather lose a leg than cry in front of your (supposed) friend and lover.
âThe next time you feel some type of you about me, address me directly. Donât go behind my fucking backâ, the harsh words bounced off the walls before you turned on your heel and dropped the bag with the coffees and goods onto the floor, not caring if they spilled and messed up the room. Your feet moved faster than you thought, through the hallways and passing the other Ateez members or staff members doing their job. The voices, the commotions and the sounds slowly became a hollow whisper as you rushed your way out of the building down to the parking lot, your phone becoming a vibrating mess in your jean pocket.Â
You donât even know how you were able to locate your car, drive home safely before opening your laptop to book the next flight home with a heavy heart. The suitcase was packed half an hour later as you locked the door to your apartment before making your way back to your car, your phone now being off as you couldnât take the constant calls, the constant vibrations of betrayal.
