in the wake of going over to the bestie's to watch the new episode i am making a rule for myself that i will not argue with people on my posts who:
1. refuse to see World as an agent capable of making moral choices, one of which is remaining joined into the collective consciousness ("everyone you love is dead", "non consensual" "loss of agency" language) (agency =/= individuality)
2. apply real world abuse dynamics to the concept of the Joining, make arguments that amount to cinemasins logic
3. refuse to engage with the moral choices World has made in the text (ie. no apple picking) and dismiss them without good faith consideration of the internal, intelligent logic of said moral choices (you are allowed to disagree with them, but you need to understand their point of view first.)
anyway like missing these three major points is a level of illiteracy i can't fix and i just need to accept that. to keep myself sane
