specifically, we're going to focus on this sort of umbrella label we've created. we hope you all enjoy it!
Comfal, from comfort and mental! a comfal is something you identify with, in any way, due to it helping you with mental struggles (broad on purpose! feel free to send an ask if you'd like clarification ^^)
a plurcomfal is a comfal that every alter/headmates/sysbling/(any other term you prefer!) identifies with! this can be for a variety of reasons, it's up to you all!
this help could be comforting you, helping you cope, helping you heal/recover, helping you relieve harmful (either to yourself or others) urges and/or compulsions without acting on those urges and/or compulsions, being something you feel you can relate to in any way, and anything else! as long it's helpful to you and doesn't hurt you, it can count!

for us, personally, the asterism cetus is a huge source of comfort to us, especially in regards to our mental illness. for that reason, the flag's icon is a little whale with stars! this icon doesn't have to be in other comfal flags, go wild on flag designs!
speaking of, anyone is absolutely free to coin their own comfals! please tag us if you do, we would love love love love that so much!
there's no specific way to name comfal coinings! you can do "(blank) comfal", combine comfal into the name, or even leave it out of the name entirely! we'll be doing a mix of the first two in our posts!
