Has anyone tried the haircare brand Not your mothers? I hadn't either until last week when I received the Bloom Vox Box complimentary from Influenster! I hadn't even heard of the brand to be honest until I saw it showing up on the discovery tab on my Influenster App. Anytime you get a box it’s super exciting and when you find new brands and products you actually want to try or use it’s a bonus! I received the Plump for Joy Thickening Hair lifter in my box from the brand Not your Mothers and I have to say wow! I have very limp, bleached, dyed, fried, rainbow colored hair so a bun is always my best friend. I rarely wear it down and I have tried a lot of these gimmicky texture sprays, voluming this and that but in the end I push them in the back of my cabinet because my hair just says no. I tried this with my hair damp and applied it to my palms. First impression...smells SO good! I ran down the hall to make my husband smell it. It makes me want a Pina Colada and a beach. Any who it does remind me of a texture spray but isn't as gritty. Im no hair master so bear with me here. I used a few sprays on my palms and worked it through my hair. I chose to blow dry due to the power of my frizz and it felt soft and wasn't sticky or flaky. No names to mention but I tried an expensive brand about a month ago that looked and felt like I dipped my hair in a bucket of salt. No good.
I have been loving the texture my hair and the frizz has been tamed a little better than normal. My hair has definitely had some volume and my waves look like they are supposed to be there. Overall in my opinion this is a good product to try. A little goes a long way and hopefully you will be as happy with the results as I am!
