“You’ve— You’ve come to v-visit me?” She sits up in her hospital bed slowly, hands reaching up to pat down her disheveled hair.
She hadn’t expected anyone to visit her.  In the state she was in, all she could manage to do was sit or lie down.  Walking was still out of the question: When she needed to get around, it was by wheelchair.  They’ve just arrived, and she’s already fearful of being boring.
“A-Are you s-sure you’re here for, umm, me?” Cue some fidgeting with her hands. “I-I— I don’t have a lot to d-do here. . —No one br-brought me my things from home. .”
