I still do most of the designing stuff, engineering wise, but for a lot of the big projects Grace had to build it himself back on the Blip-A. There was a lot of trial and error, there. Massive learning curve for me especially. Luckily Grace had been learning to use all his ship's construction and navigational functions in his forty years alone.

He probably would have solved the whole thing himself before I got there, if not for the astrophage collector getting knocked off the ship on the way there. That was something he just couldn't replicate.

the character’s parents have always been distant and made a remarks about thinking their kid isn’t theirs. the character goes off to settle things but doesn’t find what they were looking for.

Ahh, the first time we saw each other? There was a lot of build up to that. I wasn't sure it was going to happen at all. We'd been communicating via radio for a while, but it was hard to expand our shared vocabulary that way. I presented Grace with the idea of a tunnel connecting our ships, but I didn't know if that was something he'd be capable of doing. It was just a hunch, based on the Eridian tech I'd seen so far.

<Tunnel idea was scary. What if break and fall into space and die? But Grace agree, need to talk in person. Did my best to build tunnel, even though not engineer! Rocky's design helped much much much. >

So I guess we both had some misconceptions. But it was also just a huge relief to see another living.... being. I knew he was there, I'd been kind of talking to him, but being right in front of each other was different. I felt a little less alone.
