Posting this on my main account because it’s very important:
As I’m typing this out, we in the Philippines have 6 days before our presidential elections take place. This election is all the more important now than ever, because one of the candidates running is Bongbong Marcos, son of former president and dictator Ferdinand Marcos. If you would look it up or read about it, Ferdinand Marcos put our country under martial law, squandered the money of the Filipino people, and silenced anyone who dared speak against him. We are at risk of the Marcoses being back in the presidential seat, which poses a threat to our democracy and our country as a whole.
I’m not exaggerating when I say that every Filipino’s life is at stake; even those who are abroad will be affected by the outcome, one way or another. Our education, livelihoods, safety, privacy, and rights are on the line for this election. We must not let the corrupt take the highest seat of power in our nation. We as citizens must stand for righteousness, integrity, justice, and the betterment of society.
I - as a student, sister, daughter, aunt, artist, and writer - implore my fellow Filipinos to stand with VP Leni Robredo and Senator Kiko Pangilinan. They are candidates that speak life, principle, and integrity. I may not be old enough to vote, but I know that they are people who can lead the Philippines to a better future.
If you’re a Filipino voter and you’re reading this, please do proper research on the candidates you support. Whoever wins in this election will determine the fate of our country for the next six years. Whether you’re in the Philippines or abroad, this affects your friends, your children, your family, and the rest of the Filipino people. We have a lot riding on May 9.
Honestly now that I'm getting back into Newsies, as cheesy as it sounds, it feels like coming home to old friends.
Newsies was one of my biggest fixations in 2020, the year when this whole pandemic thing started. It was one of the musicals that brought back my love for theater.
The Newsies cast, both in-character and out-of-character, feel like home. During a time when I wasn't able to see my friends face to face, the musical introduced me to new ones. I'm part of the Wormsies server (although I rarely go on there but shhh /lh) and it brought together some really good people.
It's nostalgic in a way I can't really fully describe, but I'm grateful that I feel. It's hopeful, and it adds a new spring in my step.
Now that I'm finally done with schoolwork,
It's time to write, babey >:DD

Hey! I hope that you're having a wonderful day (≧∇≦)! List 5 things that make you happy, then put this in the ask box of the last 10 people who reblogged/liked something from you
Thanks so much for the ask, and sorry for taking so long to respond to it!!!

Anytime I see the moon outside my window, it's always a pleasant surprise.
It's like seeing an old friend, feeling a smile coming on, and saying, "oh, hello there."
