MAKE IT HAPPEN

Last year, when I attended the BDJ Fair 2012, they had this board:

And I wrote this:

Read: "I will hold on to my dreams. Go MedSchool!"

It is a vivid memory for me. During that time, my chances of going to Med School weren't high but I kept believing. I focused on that goal and that goal alone. I told myself that if I don't get accepted on the med school of my choice, then it is not for me.

Well, I have survived 4 months of med school in PLM, so far.

I made it happen.

Funny how the theme of BDJ for 2014 is Make it Happen. It is actually my "theme" for 2013! It is what I have written on the dream board of my 2013 Planner. :)

Going to med school is not a joke. It is not an easy path. It is not something you think about overnight. It is a choice you've got to be thinking about a hundred times.

For the past months, I've had my overdose of sleepless nights, coffee-induced wakeful hours and sabaw moments. But I made this choice.

Three months from now, it will be 2014. And there is one thing I would like to achieve: Make Him proud. Make them proud.

First of all, I offer everything to Him. He was with me all this time. He made this happen. And I want to give back by doing good even if I'm still a student.

'Them' refers to my family, friends, and all the people who believe in me. I want to go beyond borders. I want to exceed their expectations. I know I can do it.

Next year and all the years to come, I promise to become a good doctor.

Becoming a doctor, one step at a time.

I will make it happen.
