She had noticed the speck between his teeth when he paused to greet another guest, an associate of his by the looks of it. And given the fact there was no sudden change in his expression, it was clear this associate didn't think to tell him. And if that man wasn't about to say a word, then she certainly had no problem telling him herself. After all, finding you had a bit of food still clinging to your teeth was something you'd ideally want to know sooner rather than later. So she waited until he was alone and stood next to him, giving him a slight nudge at the elbow with her own to catch his attention.
