Ma , there is a stray cat outside  , let’s do something with it . 

When I think of all that we

might’ve been, it saddens me but

to think of all that I’ve become

since I left you, since I found the one

who truly completes me, I know

that I don’t need you anymore but I remember

a time not so long ago, when I did

when you were everything I wanted and

remembering now, it seems strange to me

so strange to me that you could’ve been so important

when we barely talk anymore and I wonder

once more, what might’ve been

--I’m happy now, but looking back,

I see all the flaws I overlooked in you

but I also see all the reasons

I chose to ignore them

and love you--

being with him, however, has brought me

back from the edge I was

dangling over so precariously

and I don’t think I could go back

to a time before I loved him, even for

someone who once meant the

world to me.
