i NEED a judblanc animal au where jud is like this black labrador retriever who lives on a farm (metaphor for the church) and was rescued from an abusive shelter in the city so he has a strong urge to be good for his owners and tries to connect with the other animals (the flock). then blanc is this stray tomcat (something something thomas o’mally) who goes around the country by his whim and he stops by at the farm when wicks (probably a rooster) gets killed mysteriously and jud is blamed bc he’s well… a dog. and so shenanigans ensue and at some point blanc is like “come travel the country with me” and jud is like “my home is here” bc there’s like a human child that compels him to stay blah blah blah. so basically exactly the same plot but the whole time is just a slinky tomcat leading this enormous, hesitant dog and everyone’s like “hm…anyways—“ and there’s still yearning but it’s like the symbolism that a cat and dawg shouldnt coexist but they do
