now that ruby has moved on, can i get the friendship i deserve? because nothing would be more chaotic good than a ruby x gilbert friendship. like, just imagine gilbert talking to her about medical stuff and ruby being all “i have no idea about what you're saying but you seem happy and i support you, please continue”. and then ruby talking about romance and hopes for a happy future filled with love and overall just unknowingly inspiring gilbert to fight for this future with anne (while assuring that ruby gets her happy ending because this guy would kill for his friends). and this friendship would also be a great way to avoid ruby's fate in the books because when your best friend is a freaking doctor he's going to notice something is off and won't let your stupid family act as if nothing were wrong and he would make sure she makes it out alive.
so yeah, give me ruby and gilbert friendship.
