"Juliette."
"Mercutio. I've promised Hermia we'll be on our best behaviour, so don't start, please."
"Crazy how you literally murdered my brother and I'm the unreasonable one for being mad."
"Murdered? Don't be ridiculous. We both know that was an act of God!"
"Yeah, sure. Watch your back."
"Are they fighting? Please tell me they're not fighting."
"They seem cool. They're... hugging it out?"
"No way. I don't believe you."
"Listen." Juliette whispered. "For some reason my sister cares about you. So we are going to be civil, and if you make a scene and ruin her graduation party I will never forgive you."
When did this even happen? Is Melody being enemies with everyone a constant in every universe? XD
I'm trying to let go of the storytelling perfectionism so I can start actually enjoying the game again! So instead of a long queue with lots of dialogue, here are some highlights from the Jacquet family...
Despite technical problems (for some reason the cafe was tanking everyone's environment score and I couldn't figure out why?) the cafe is still successful! Gilbert even gets a flirt in with Catherine Veijo, who's visiting from Widespot.
Speaking of Widespot, Denise and Rich are still going strong! I don't think either of them are planning to have this evolve into anything serious, but it's useful to have friends in high places!
(Same, Jennifer. Same.)
With that in mind, Denise also invited Goneril Capp for dinner. The two have a lot in common (both a little ruthless, both business minded, both family oriented). Plus, Goneril's a big fan of her food! It's so important, supporting local businesses (on their side of the canal). The two of them become fast friends.
Gilbert continues playing the field with his various townie girlfriends, much to his mother's annoyance! She was truly hopeful he'd have picked a favourite and settled down with one of them by now.
But no, her useless son continues to refuse to commit! At this point she has half a mind to poke some holes into his condoms and take matters into her own hands.
Hermia returns to Veronaville! I won't be playing her this round, though, as I want her to be a bit younger than Juliette & Tybalt. Plus, I'd like to wait until her fiance Erik has graduated so they can settle in together <3
I didn't actually decorate the interior of the house, I'll save that for next time! Especially as now I'm thinking it might be cute to have her in one of those 2-in-1 houses instead, with Puck and Monica as next door neighbours...

Hermia grows up into a completely inappropriate hairstyle, but I see what she's putting down and gave her something in a similar spirit...
That's more like it! I'm really happy with her adult makeover :)
Meanwhile, in Boggs Hall Dorms, Hermia is studying hard for her big senior final. University has been fun and a nice escape from the family's affairs in Veronaville... but she's feeling ready to graduate and face the future.
"Well, I'm glad you're coming back to Veronaville. We can be neighbours!"
"I'd like that. I certainly don't want to move into the Manor, but I'll feel better being close enough to at least keep an eye on things."
"I hear you. Don't tell my parents, but I feel like they really dropped the ball on the whole peacekeeping thing we were trying to do. We'll have to redouble our efforts!"
