Christmas Dinner (late post)
L2T/T2B: Italian cornbread stuffing, mashed sweet potatoes, baked creamed corn, southern turnip/ collard greens, spinach/ artichoke stuffed bread, roasted turkey, karaage, mille crepe, and my mom’s Khmer beef salad (pleah)
My SIL made the bread stuff, karaage, and mille crepe. I had no idea it’s a tradition to eat fried chicken (the karaage) on Christimas in Japan. She said she has to make it every year for Christmas. I guess it will become our new tradition now that she’s part of our family. Next year we will try the strawberry shortcake, another JP Christmas food. (I’ve done one a few years ago.)
