Journal Entry #1
What can I say about Parker Lewis that you don’t already know? You know…the guy who swears it’s just not a problem. Well, I’ll tell you that me and Park have been best buds since we were kiddos.
It’s not always been rainbows and sunshine. Me and Park used to get on each other’s nerves all the damn time(and really, we still do). He’d always tug on my pigtails, make me believe dumb things that only little kids are gullible to believe, and he’d always have me be the victim in some sort of prank…until his sister Shelly was old enough to be pranked.
Alongside Parker, I became good friends with Mikey Randall. Mikey is like the Ace Frehley to my Eric Carr(sorry, was that too niche of a reference for you?). We’re like…peanut butter and jelly, if you want something more generalized. Whenever things go wrong, or I’m just not feeling my best, I tend to go to Mikey.
But only because in the last few years, my feelings for Parker have gone from “oh man my crazy best friend is insane” to “damn…has my best friend always looked this good?” to “oh no…I’m completely in love with Parker Lewis.” And you know what? I am in love with him. But you think I’m actually going to say anything to him about it? Probably not…look, I want to…but dammit…
Enough about him and his dumb Gumby ass…
Really, life in Santo Domingo is quite crazy. If me and the best buds aren’t trying to escape the clutches of Mussolini Ms Musso, then we’re hanging around the diner or helping out at Mondo Video(this is the video store that Parker’s parents own!). As much as most of my life revolves around all of these people, sometimes I did wish I had another pal…a gal pal, so to speak.
There’s someone else I haven’t mentioned. That would be Frank Lemmer, special obedience helper. As much as he and I butt heads a lot(he doesn’t like Parker at all, and I can understand why), we sometimes have conversations. Frank seems like a cool guy once you get to know him, but I hate that he’s such a suck-up to Ms Musso(and I think it might be worse than that, but for his sake, I’ll leave it at that).Â
I think Frank is suffering from something…something called loneliness. It seems like he’s missing someone to call his own, even if he would say that Ms Musso is all he needs(which is a little weird, but I get it…he looks up to her quite a bit). I’m sure there’s a perfect person out there for him…
And maybe if I could find someone for him, maybe…I could find the courage to finally tell Parker how I feel.
