I need both....

Finished goat xylophone player! The little paintings in the back were sort of an off-hand idea after trying to think of something to fill out the background a tad. In the process I sort of developed a loose history/legend - maybe he's sort of a shaman in addition to being a musician, playing something in relation to an old tale of beasts and gods. I wanted to have each figure as a different species, each one presumably with their own stories. Mortality and heroism are indicated by the left legs, almost in the shape of commas or horns, while immortal or god figures are presented with more complex bodies and presenting means of entry into an afterlife. Their scythe-like legs propose a duality of purpose. In the animal world mobility is an extremely important thing: fate always grows stronger and faster, and eventually reaps all that it catches up to. But the brave rush straight into it, even if only to slow its descent on the weak. I should mention that this was partly inspired by two good friends I've made through the Beyond The Western Deep fandom - both of whom explore some awesome concepts in art and world-building respectively.
