seeing all the trade stuff online around him is a little worrying ? what’s your opinion? do you think the Sox’s will settle on a deal or keep a higher price tag and not trade him unless they get exactly what they are looking for ? Idk this stuff confuses me lol I don’t understand why they would trade him unless they got exactly what they were looking for he’s still a big name with talent and decently large fan base which = $$. I kind of answered this yesterday.
It really depends on the return. They don’t need another outfielder. They do need a shortstop and second baseman. Specifically they need those players to also be power, right-handed hitters. If they could get one or both of those things, they have to be willing to give up decent players.
The guys that have been mentioned come from teams that do not need outfielders.
Not to mention, there is still no timetable on Roman Anthony returning and being good once that happens.
The way I look at it, if the Sox wanted a good player back in return for Jarren, they should have traded him after 2024. Now would be a bad time since they won’t get anything great in return.
