Now this is what I call a beach road. I thought I had missed the turnoff to Playa Bluff, known in Bocas for its beautiful beach, because the paved road seemed to end at Paki Point. Good thing I did not go at high tide! A few kilometers in the wrong direction and a quick check of Google Maps, however, got me back on track. I arrived there on my beach cruiser, threw down a banana milkshake, and basically left immediately to ensure I would not be bike riding in the dark.
Vacation with Edel: Part one
Edel and I went to Bocas Del Toro (Most Eastern Province in Panama). It was beautiful! We had to take a boat out to the main island (Isla Colon).
We stayed at the Casa Verde Hostel. They had a kitchen and a dock with hammocks and a restaurant in the lobby. We got Veggie burgers and fries one night and for lunches we cooked lentils and pasta in the hostel kitchen.
We rode bikes one day to see the different beaches around the island.
We also went exploring in some caves.
I dont think Edel liked it very much.
But it was beautiful!
And creepy, with bats...
and spiders...
And those worms from planet earth that dangle a string down to catch other bugs...
