the thing is that i understand why hades is supergiant's breakout hit. i do. and i love hades! a lot!
but i really, really hope more people give pyre a shot at some point. the genre-mash isn't for everyone but it has all of the same supergiant games flavor™️ and they did a really good job of crafting a story that remains interesting even if you are kind of awful at the actual gameplay portion.
also it's a given but the soundtrack absolutely rips. much of the music is diegetic. the ending song changes depending on your choices (and there are quite a few permutations) and also the lyrics of the song that plays during the final match of each "cycle" are completely different depending on which team you're facing. the backing track incorporates their respective theme(s). it's so good.
