The greatly anticipated YouTube ‘Dark Mode’ was today rolled out across the iOS app bringing users, a sleek, new app experience. YouTube has been testing this feature since January which they have now made available to everyone on iOS. To get this new feature simply open up the app, go to your settings and enable the dark theme.

Click on your profile image, then settings.
Enable the Dark Mode as shown here.
If this isn’t showing as an option you may need to update your application via the app store to be able to enable this.
YouTube rolled out a dark theme for desktop last year, and since then this has been the most requested item to bring to the application version of the site.
As the name suggests the dark mode swaps the traditional white interface with a sleeker dark theme, which we think makes watching videos a better experience, especially on evenings.
The app isn’t currently available for Android but may open up to Android users later on in the year.
