LLDPE stabilises near recent lows after gradual easing
LLDPE trading has steadied after a period of gradual decline, with recent sessions showing limited movement and a calmer market tone. Indian LLDPE prices ended the week at Rs 100.00/kg, unchanged from the previous week, following a fortnight during which prices slipped by Rs 1/kg.
While the weekly outcome was flat, the short-term comparisons still show mild softness. On a one-month basis, LLDPE remains Rs 1/kg lower, placing current levels near the lower end of recent trading activity. The move down from a high around Rs 107.50/kg occurred over several weeks, with no sharp daily swings and volatility narrowing as prices approached Rs 100/kg. This suggests selling pressure has eased as the market adjusted to lower benchmarks.
Looking across the past three months, prices have remained broadly aligned with current levels, supporting the sense of stabilisation rather than ongoing decline. Year-on-year levels continue to track lower, but recent closes have been steadier, indicating a pause in downward momentum. Indian LLDPE prices are therefore balanced, with the market operating inside a tighter and more controlled range.
