✨All the colors of the rainbow, big pieces and small, scattered along the ocean shore. It was almost easy to overlook... to pretend it is “someone else” who created it. The plastic on the beach today. Eye wrote in my journal “how can eye give? How can eye give back?” And then a man walked up next to me with a bucket of plastic from the beach around me. My natural instinct was to help pick the plastic up with him. Pueo joined in and we were filling up multiple buckets in a very small chunk of beach. We talked story and picked up plastic together for over an hour. He told me the US increased plastic production by 40% this year. All this plastic is ending up in our ocean and beautiful beaches. It’s easy to point the finger at someone else, but the reality is it’s up to each of us to be the change we wish to see. Eye feel so inspired. Picking up plastic along the beach today made me feel of service to humanity, to our Mother Earth. Eye feel inspired to look at my purchases deeper. Every purchase.
