Street trash art. All of this cutlery was collected from the streets of London (UK), Lille (France), Ghent (Belgium), São Paulo (Brazil), NYC (USA), amongst others. Some of it was recently dropped & others had been run over, stepped on & had already started to break down into tiny pieces to be washed down the drains, into the waterways & into the 🌊🌊🌊. Streets trash so easily becomes marine debris, don't assume someone will eventually come and clean it up. The council here in London spends a great deal on cleaning the streets (money they don't really have that could be used for other services or people in need) but even so many bits get missed. I often do a street clean right after the street cleaners have been and there are still plenty of plastic pieces the machines & sweepers have not picked up, particularly items like plastic cutlery that have been crushed into tiny pieces! #streettrash #streetclean #plasticcutlery #saynotosingleuseplastic (at London, United Kingdom)
