If you are thinking of buying yourself a plastic bong then you need to step carefully and make sure you will be better off with a plastic bong rather than a glass bong. One super obvious point to mention is that glass breaks easy whilst plastic is hard wearing and unless you stand on it or break the rubber seal it will last you long in to your future. But, how do they hit? Does the smoke taste worse? In my experience I think the smoke tastes just as good as plastic, I did once hear a rumor about plastic slowly wearing away and filling the smoke with contaminates but I believe this to be a false statement. The plastic used in a high quality bong will of course be heatproof; so I would watch out for any dodgy cheap shops that sell plastic bongs as they might not meet regulations.
