First off, this is my way of planning. you do not have to plan this way, and this post is not trying to say the way I plan is more “correct” than another way. planning methods are totally your own.
I use both a planner and my cell phone to keep track of my schedule and plan for tests, activities, and other events.
Informant: This is a calendar app that I use to replace the standard calendar that comes on an iPhone. I like to color code my classes for school, and this app allows me to do just that. I can also put reminders into this planning/calendar app instead of using a separate apps for reminders and calendars. A link to the app is here.
I also use my planner, which is a Daytimer Desk Planner. A ring-bound planner is much easier for me to use because I can take out or insert things as necessary. I use the bullet journal system for my weekly layouts, but I use printed monthly layouts. I like this system because I am not having to spend forever on a monthly layout, etc. However, I love the bullet journal system, so I wanted to integrate it into my planner also. This system has allowed me to be so organized because I can simply insert a to-do list that I jot down at school wherever it belongs in my planner due to the rings. A link to the daytimer planner that I have is here.
There are also printables that you can find online on Etsy, Tumblr, or Pinterest. These printables make it easy to plan out whatever you need to plan (i.e. a study schedule, a to-do list, etc).
Happy Planning.
