Ah, I see we are on two opposite sides of the coin, plane anon 😅 Ravio is very much a Link to me and I see him as a fun cousin-like or brother-like figure to Legend (or to the Hero of Worlds in canon), and I adore ALttP Zelink (especially because ALBW and OoA made it canon!). And Hildavio. I love Hildavio so much and I've drawn them a few times on the blog in fact 🤣 But to each his/her own!
I loooooove classic NES Zelink! I know many people pair Link with the Adventure of Link princess because of the maybe-kiss, but I prefer the OGs, especially considering they've known each other for seven years! I've never heard of people saying she isn't a princess of wisdom though--she has control over the Triforce of Wisdom and split it into 8 after all. I've also seen some great depictions of the og Zelda where she was incredibly strong in will, not telling Ganon where the Triforce shards were no matter how he tried to get her to talk.
