Lee has some redeemable and unredeemable qualities concerning his abusive behaviour.Â
On one side, he has acted horribly. He played the victim card, accused Freddy of taking advantage of him despite the fact Freds had no idea what his powers could do, demonized everyone who didnt think like him and tried to manipulate them into winning his favour. (Things like, if you really cared for me, youâd do this...)
On the other, he at least acknowledges it and started working on bettering himself. It doesnt excuse his previous behaviour but admitting you were wrong and you hurt people is one of the first steps very little abusers do and so his attempts should be recognized, at the very least.Â
I honestly have no idea how it ended up like this, but I suppose itâs more realistic anyway as not all abusers are these evil villains plotting to hurt as many folks as possible and may just look like ânormal peopleâ.
