Day 30 - Lara Ravel (Pathologic/Pathologic 2)
Of course the woman in my icon (formerly) is also gonna be somewhere on this list. I mentioned how Alex Chen was much like me in execution and here's another character that is.
I'm passing these mentally ill savings onto you, guys.
Lara often feels like the older sister that often has to sacrifice in order to prop up her loved ones. Lara is the definition of self-sacrificing and while it's genuinely a breath of fresh air for there to be someone who cares in the town, in both games it's made clear that Lara is just hiding her more darker thoughts.
She's an example of someone who keeps themselves too busy to actually think. Someone who's just burying her issues under the dirt of everyone else's without realizing that what she buried was a time bomb.
A bomb that nearly goes off with the presence of Commander Block, a man she blames for the death of her father.
It's funny how it's built to catch everyone off guard. The moment of hearing that Lara is planning on shooting Block. It's so out of character even for herself as she still has to convince herself to go through with it if you choose to go after her.
The price of ignoring her strife the way she does to herself, is losing someone who genuinely wanted to do good in the town.
