A woman dresses up and goes on a birthday date to the carnival. She is given balloons and flowers from her significant other. They eat cherries together and it begins to rain heavily. They romantically stand under the umbrella together.

Task - “choose a scene from a film which I think is visually interesting“

I have chosen the Nightclubbing Scene from Transpotting 1996. This is my all time favourite film and I think that the full film is Visually interesting so it was hard for me to choose just one scene. 

I feel this scene is the most visually interesting as it shows u the logic behind the full film. This scene shows us that the drug choice of “skag” was the main choice of drug during the mass unemployment of the 90s as it was near enough affordable for those who may not of had a job. The dull, dark and grainy overcast of this scene and film and the brutal, smoked-filled filthy interiors also reflect the scene in which they were living in, which was obvious unemployment. This scene goes on to show how desperate they were to have this drug and shows u how they afforded it, by stealing and forging this was the everyday life for them. The Overall look of the scene and colours and overcast of the film plays on how they're living, the greys and washed out colours adding to the poverty and the key issues faced in the film.

My chosen scene was the sinking of titanic from the movie Titanic 1998. Directed by James Cameron.

The reason why I chose this scene was because it was the most intense scene in the entire movie and I love the way it is shot! The tension in this scene keeps building up throughout. The sound effects and the shot angles are outstanding. I love the way the camera remains tilted for most of the time to make it look more real. This whole scene is a mixture of different shots and angles which makes it really worth watching.

Before we went out to shoot our 3 minute movie clip,  we made a plan beforehand so that we know what we are trying to achieve and are confident in doing so.

We also made a storyboard to help us give an idea of what we need to do and what type of shots we require.

For this task we had to show what Scotland means to us in our own unique way in a 1 minute clip. Georgia and I decided to go with Scotland's famous food. Chippies. 

We shot and edited our clip today and found it fairly easy to carry this task out. If we were to change anything, we would probably edit it a little bit more as we did not have enough time to do any advanced editing which is why the video was kept very basic.
