“  hi,  marlowe,  ”  spencer  greets  with  a  soft  smile,  sidling  up  next  to  her  at  the  bar.  he  runs  a  hand  through  his  hair,  still  wet  from  when  he'd  decided  to  take  a  dip  in  the  water.  he  liked  spending  his  days  off  in  the  beach,  loved  the  feeling  of  the  sun  in  his  face  and  the  sand  beneath  his  feet.  he  turns  to  look  at  her  now,  brows  raised  in  curiosity.  “  you  here  alone  or  have  you  got  company?  ”

Out of all of the locally sourced out door furniture, Felipe had done the most fixing up to one in particular. In addition to sturdying up the joints, he had added a backrest complete with hand rests. Fortunately, everything had been completed before his right arm was confined to a sling. But the pet project among the bigger pet projects still warranted special attention. "Do you do a lot of painting?" he gave the backrest of the bench a firm shake. Not detecting any wobble, he glanced to Marlowe, "I was thinking of having some funky designs on the seating. Nothing too fancy, just lookin for a pop of color."

lots  of  things  make  spencer  happy,  he  isn't  exactly  difficult  to  please,  but  spending  time  with  his  family  has  to  take  the  cake.  he's  laying  on  the  blanket  and  keeping  a  close  eye  on  sami  as  she  goes  off  to  play  with  a  few  friends,  smile  tugging  at  the  corners  of  his  lips  when  he  hears  her  infectious  laughter.  “  you  know,  someone  the  group  chat  also  suggested  hair  chalk,  ”  he  mentions,  apropos  of  nothing.  “  we  could  do  all  the  colors  of  the  rainbow  in  her  hair  —  pride  month  and  all  that.  ”
