Ί PJO DEMIGOD HEADCANONS: đž DEMETER: Goddess of Agriculture and Fertility, of the Harvest & Sacred Law, of the Earth, of the Seasons, Nourishment & Bread đ˝
author's note: I had a sudden idea about writing some headcanons Camp Halfblood demigods being claimed and what it's like for each respective god and cabin, followed by a small blurb afterwards. Thank you for reading and please like and reblog! The order is not in order of the cabin numbers. [PJO DEMIGOD HEADCANONS MASTERLIST]
When you get claimed, the ground beneath you bursts with vegetation. You look around you and notice that among the vegetation, itâs your favourites. Your favourite flowers, fruit, vegetable, and plants. Itâs almost like Demeter had been keeping an eye on you this entire time and this was her bouquet for you. A wreath of corn and plants sit upon your crown.
Your siblings cheer and help you take the bouquet of vegetation, taking the roots of each plant to be planted later on, and the rest is gathered. Youâre introduced to your cabin and siblings with a small impromptu picnic of said-bouquet as you all break bread together. As you sink your teeth into the nearest food, it fills you with energy youâre not sure how to place other than itâs good.Â
There are plants everywhere in your cabin and the inside of the cabin is almost like a botanical garden that is also never uncomfortable to sleep in. You look around and you see plants hanging from above and/or rising above.
Your bed smells like earth and flowers, and there are vines curling up around the frames. As soon you touch the bed, your bunk bed bursts into your favourite flowers and plants, providing you a little bit of comfort.Â
The wreath you were given hangs above your head and it remains fresh. Itâs like a soft reminder of Demeterâs presence.
You help with the campâs business of growing and maintaining the strawberries they grow, and you find out you and your siblings all get a small portion of the profits. Itâs almost like an allowance for doing your chores.Â
Being a child of Demeter, you get along with the children of Dionysus and Mr. D.Â
You also get along with the dryads at camp, being the child of Demeter. Thereâs a sense of love and respect directed towards you. If you donât know, youâre later told by one of your siblings, the dryads, or Mr. D himself.Â
Letâs just say, Demeter is very, very terrifying and you know when they say to never mess with Mother Nature.Â
Do not mistaken for weakness and unimportance as a child of Demeter. Demeter herself is powerful, and hopefully no one earns her ire.Â
People might not find your particularly threatening, but know that when the time comes, your hand that has handled the tools that till the earth, is just as practiced as a sword.Â
Flower power to the max. You can sprout the plants beneath your feet, from the smallest of weeds that can tear apart stone through their cracks, to the network of tree roots beneath your feet that grow and grow. Fungi are also on the table and boy, there's no way more terrifying then razing down enemies with the power of fungi. You carry an assortment of seeds with you and let me tell you, a whip made out of Rose thorns go hard.
You looked at the miniature garden beneath your feet. You quickly take in the fact the plants around you are your favourites. Your favourite fruits, flowers, herbs, plants in general. You canât tell if it is the pollen or dust, but you feel your eyes prickling at the fact that maybe, Demeter had been keeping an eye on you when her claim brought about your favourites.Â
You felt the wreath of corn grow on top of your head, the vines and leaves moving and parting your hair behind your ear. It is soft, gentle, and deliberate, almost like a motherâs touch.Â
You see a bunch of campers take out shovels, spades, and other gardening tools and begin working at your feet, gathering the plants. A girl steps forward and she had her hands on her hips, giving you a smile.Â
âDonât worry about the plants. Each new child of Demeterâs claim is different and their plants are a representation of them, so we like to gather the plants to celebrate. My name is Katie Gardner, child of Demeter and cabin leader. Welcome!âÂ
You introduced yourself before catching some of the children of Demeter talk excitedly about what to make with the produce they had gathered. âSo whatâs going on now?â
Katie gently guides you to the Demeter Cabin as she explains. âTo welcome each new addition to our cabin, we also like to hold an impromptu picnic if its early or late enough before meal times, and we use the plants from their claim as the centrepiece. This also lets us get to know each other, a bit of an ice breaker if you get what I mean.â
âThatâs actually pretty coolâ you said as she led you to your bunk.
âIt is, right? I know we may not seem as cool compared to the other gods, but trust me, being a child of Demeter is just as great as the others. Weâre justâŚmore down to earth.â
The reaction you gave to Katie as she let out a laugh. âGot you right thereâ she giggled. âCome on, thereâs plenty to show you!â

Hey hey loved ur fics so much and I was wondering could u do a fic Connor stoll x reader where he flirty with them cuz he likes them but they donât think he serious
a/n: yeah sure! again, i'm not the greatest at writing flirting but i'll try my best!
Warnings: bad flirting writing lol
Words: 1K
Gender-neutral reader
With a roll of your eyes, you shut the door to your cabin, trying to escape the eyes of your siblings.
"He likes you," Austin says. "Like, a lot."
"No, he doesn't," you retort. "Connor does that all the time with everyone. He's not being serious."
"So, when he's wrapping an arm around you at the beach, that's not serious?" Kayla snorts. "I knew you weren't the brightest bulb in the box, but my gods, y/n, come on."
You throw your bow and quiver of arrows onto your bunk. "Again, he does that with everyone."
"What about the compliments he constantly gives you?" Austin asks, quirking an eyebrow. "Hmm? He constantly goes out of his way to compliment you and, I don't know about Kayla, but I've not seen or heard him compliment too many people before."
"He's my best friend," you say. "Of course he's going to compliment me every now and then, just like I do him -"
"You have pretty eyes, y/n, mind if I stare into them for a while longer?" Kayla says, deepening her voice to match Connor's. "Like, come on, how is that not flirting?"
You huff. "He's been like this with me for ages. I'm sure if he had feelings for me he would've done something by now."
"Do you like him?" Austin asks, shifting his weight.
"In what way?"
"Are you serious? Like like, y/n!"
You roll your eyes again. "Sure, I do, but he definitely doesn't. Connor's just the kind of guy to flirt with everyone for the sport. Trust me, being his best friend for years helps you get information like that."
Kayla looks away from you to the door of the cabin. "Speaking of..."
You turn to the door just in time to see Connor open it, grinning.
"Hey, Sunshine," he says. "You coming to the beach? Sun's about to set and I'd hate to watch it on my own again."
You smile. "Yeah, I'll just be a minute."
"Gotcha." Then, the son of Hermes disappears behind the door.
You look back to Kayla and Austin, graced by the sight of the former making kissing faces and the latter mocking you.
"Shut up," you say. "I'll be back in time for the dinner bell."
"Don't get up to too much out there," Austin calls as you begin to leave.
"He calls you Sunshine, for Hera's sake! That's flirting!"
Your face grows hot. Your siblings, if possible, are worse than Connor when it comes to this stuff.
When you reach the beach, Connor has already set up your blanket and whipped out two cans of Coke that he must have smuggled in. He lays over the blanket, his head in the sand, eyes closed as the waves wash over his feet.
You nudge him with your foot. "I'm here, Mr Thief."
"You need a better nickname for me, Sunshine."
That's true. You doubt Mr Thief sends any reaction through him like Sunshine does for you.
You situate yourself down on the patterned blanket beside your best friend, lacing your hands through the grains of soft golden sand. The sun is setting over the Long Island Sound, shining like molten gold over the rippling blue water. You smile and wave at the sun as it dips, imagining your father waving back at you.
"You do that every single night without fail," Connor notes. "It still confuses me, no matter how many times you tell me why you do it."
You roll your eyes. "You're just jealous that my dad pays more attention to me than yours does you."
Connor smiles. "You've got me there, Sunshine. I'm oh-so jealous."
You smile. You've met your father - godly father, that is - on countless occasions, but Connor hasn't had that same opportunity. Well, he has once, but that was when the safety of Manhattan and Olympus was at risk.
Routinely, Connor wraps an arm around your shoulders, shifting over the smallest bit towards you. You try not to stiffen, scared he'll remove his arm. That's the opposite of what you want.
Maybe Kayla and Austin are right...
"You're awfully quiet today," Connor says. "And I have to say I'm finding it fairly enjoyable."
You scoff and nudge him in the stomach with your elbow. "Trust me, my day was so much better without your scrawny self jutting in every two minutes."
Connor laughs, squeezing you to his chest for a moment before releasing. Your face feels hot
again.
"Not every two minutes," he says. "More like every five, but you love making things dramatic."
"Shut up."
"No, I love it. Makes things more interesting."
You suppress a smile, taking a hold of the hand that drapes over your shoulder and leaning into Connor. You've done this a million times before, but the conversation you've just had with Kayla and Austin has sent your thoughts spiralling out of control, making you that much more nervous.
When his hand squeezes yours it feels as though electricity is running through your veins, powering up little butterflies in your stomach.
"You look nice in this light," Connor says, his voice barely more than a whisper.
"I'd hope so. If my dad isn't trying to make me look good every time he's on the job, I'm going to have to have words."
Connor laughs but doesn't say anything.
You focus on the feeling of his pulse on the bare skin of your neck, the consistent thump, thump, thump it sends. It's calming and helps with the butterflies.
When the sun dips behind the horizon, you almost don't want to get up. You would give anything to just sit with Connor like this forever, feeling the soft thud of his pulse, listening to his soft breaths.
But, instead, you both get up, folding the blanket and picking up your empty Coke cans.
Connor smiles. "Looking forward to this again tomorrow, Sunshine."
"Same," you say, smiling, too.
"I'm sure you'll look even better tomorrow."
And, with a wink, he disappears behind the sand dunes.
Request: requested by @theheroesofmyheart; Could you write me a Leo Valdez x reader pool party fic? Make them all embarrassed about each other in their bathing suits:)
You heard Percyâs voice ringing out from across camp, clearly calling your name. âY/N, Y/N I wanna ask you something!â The blue eyed boy ran over to you, panting when he arrived.
âHey Perc,â you began, âwhatâs up, and are you alright? Youâre panting pretty heavily over there..â You suppressed a laugh at your friend. Percy nodded slowly, catching his breath in the process.
âYeah, yeah Iâm good Y/N. I just wanted to tell you that Iâm having a small âwe survived another questâ pool party at my cabin tonight. The whole gangâs gonna be there, and we really want you to come. Bring a swim suit and a towel⌠see you later!â He gave you a hug and ran off to his cabin.
You thought to yourself. You really wanted to go, but you didnât own any swim suits. Well, any decent ones at least. And besides, you want to look good, because Leo is gonna be there. You and Leo became super close during the quest, mostly because you both had a lot in common. You developed a crush on him due to the abundant amount of time spent together, but you know he doesnât like you back. But, you arenât going to let that stop you, because youâre a bad ass daughter of Apollo who doesnât need a man to make you happy. However, you do need a swim suit if youâre going to go to Percyâs pool party. You head to the Aphrodite cabin to find Piper, since you know sheâll have something for you.
â
After arriving back at your cabin from getting a cute bikini from Piper, it had been time to go to the party. You threw a yellow dress on top of your swim suit and strolled over to the Poseidon cabin. When you arrived you said hi to all of your friends, stopping to talk to Hazel, who was the only one who knew about your crush on Leo.
âSo,â Hazel started, âyou gonna tell him any time soon? Or am I just gonna have to watch you stare at him until our next quest?â She smiled at you sweetly. You removed your dress and Hazelâs eyes lit up. âOh sweetie you look amazing! With you looking like that, there doesnât even have to be talking involved! You look hot!â
You quietly laughed when you noticed Leo sneaking glances at you while talking to Frank, Percy, and Jason. You smiled at him and he just looked away. Nice, you thought.
Annabeth walked by and tapped your shoulder. âHey, Y/N, you look great! Would you mind helping me carry some snacks outside, Percy is absolutely useless I swear.â She rolled her eyes and laughed. âEverything is in the kitchen!â Annabeth told you. You went inside the cabin and walked straight to the kitchen, where you found Leo stealing food from the trays. Not to lie, you were a little freaked out since Leo had just been outside but, thatâs Leo for you. Where you find food, you find the boy.
âHey, no stealing!â You laughed as you spoke to Leo. He looked up at you and you almost gasped out loud. He was shirtless and standing there right in front of you, and boy did he look amazing!
Leo stared at you, mouth a jar, not saying a word. He shyly rubbed his neck and looked down. âOh! Uh, hey Y/N. I-I wasnât⌠I justâŚâ He was stuttering and it was beyond adorable. Suddenly, you didnât know what to say. The aura around you two was just super awkward and shaky right now.
âOh! N-no, I was justâŚ.. I was kidding, I didnâtâŚâ You internally slapped yourself for acting so nervous.
Leo leaned on the door frame, chuckling with his head still down. You could clearly hear him take in a big breath before saying âYou look really good by the way.â When you didnât say anything (out of shock obviously) he looked up at you. Seeing each other basically half naked was making you both crazy.
âOh!â You quickly responded, âUm, thank you! You do too..â You both very shyly looked at each other. âSoâŚâ you continued the almost non-existent conversation, âyou wanna head outside, the music sounds pretty good?â
He grinned and nodded his head. âYeah! I mean, yeah⌠sounds fun. Race you there?â He winked.
You rolled your eyes, âoh, youâre going down Valdez!â
