like for my au i’ve literally been thinking this stuff over as a result of mcc copper crown and mcc double date (where fruit and grian teamed up again, WHO CHEERED :D) and due to pete and grian last teaming in JUNE OF 2023 (oh lord it’s been FOREVER 💔💔)
and then i’ve been trying to integrate mccs into the lore (in this au mcc is like the equivalent to world championships (maybe even olympics if it’s THAT high-stakes but idk yet 🤷🏽♀️)
little timeline for them ^^" (i’m not including mccs 9-12 here, sorry 😞):
mccs 13-14: pete and grian start teaming (for both mccs grian does the team short and pete does the team free; and then they both partner together for the pairs free—pete lifts/throws and grian is the flyer!)
-> team silver and team bronze respectively (pete gets first indv bc ofc he does ^^")
(for context each mcc team would have two skaters perform a short program and two skaters perform a free skate—no double duty!—and then each team would make a duo to perform a pairs short and pairs free—ice dance is boring to me i’m sorry 😭; plus it’d be funny to imagine them just CHUCKING each other up in the air for twists or throw jumps)
mcc 15: pete gets a season-ending injury; orange gets a dnf in the team event
mcc 16: fruit and grian team again :D (fruit lifts/throws and grian is the flyer!); pete is on cyan since he’s coming back from injury (cyan a purely fun/vibes team)
-> team silver for purple (grian bails out of a throw jump and falls hard but otherwise is fine!)
mcc 17: pete and grian team up again and win team gold! (also pete gets gold in the singles event and grian gets a pb and his highest indv ranking ever!)
