#pizza!!!!

italian rest

he’s been staring at a weirdly shaped stain on the ceiling for the better part of the last thirty minutes, moving his head around to look at it in different angles. when he’s like this, head tilted to the left, it looks a little like new zealand (or the head of a dog). it’s barely visible, just the outline in tints of yellow and brown and he wants to tell her to check whether it’s water from the apartment above - or maybe he already told her? his hands are folded on his chest and when she offers him a bottle, he shakes his head. it’s too late now to be the voice of reason, with his head swimming a bit and his body feeling lighter than it is. he’s high - undeniably - and it’s really stupid because he is supposed to be the responsible one! it’s just that it helps with the phantom pain. helps with the panic, too (most of the times. and only if he doesn’t fall asleep. because for all the magic this is working in his waking hours? when he falls asleep, it’s a curse. nightmares more vivid, images more real...) he vaguely hears her ramble on about something. an ode to the magic of cheap wine or something. usually he’d scoff and at least try to explain how this shit hardly deserves to be called   wine   –  more like mixing grape juice with bleach - but he only smiles, tilts his head to the other side and has to hold back a laugh. the smudge looks like a duck now. it isn’t until he hears her chewing that he sits up, turns to look at her. did she order food?   IS THAT PIZZA?   something inside of him is revolting at the sight of pineapple. but his stomach doesn’t give a shit about what his brain is up to.     ... and i will always love pizza.   probably the very vise conclusion to her rant and charlie nods, hair falling in his face when he reaches for a slice  (is not   too   high    to forget FLICKING the three pieces of pineapple off . they stick to the box)    ❝ ––– there’s a duck on your ceiling. ‘s probably a leak somewhere, you got to get this fixed! god   fuck     i haven’t had pizza in two years. ❞  @babyunwin
