Yeah. I was a bit unhappy that the anon was putting pressure on me, and trying to dictate how I wrote my own fic, but more importantly, this is such unnecessary shade thrown to so many diff writers. I know a ton of brilliant ppl who have written love triangles. And so what if it’s cliche??? I’ve written for every cliche trope in the book. So what? There are only so many plot twists and edgy messages you can create before it’s also dull and “mediocre.” Sometimes, u just want to write a nice, cheesy chick flick! I have other “edgy” fics if youre into that. but let’s not drag a style and call it “mediocre” just because it’s not your cup of tea.
In addition, I don’t like what this anon is implying about writers who have written love triangles (and technically my equilibrium is a love triangle and elements is like a love octagon lmao). I hate backwards compliments where you have to insult others first.
