#pipe show

I’ve been sorting out my flights and hotels etc and I can happily say now that I will be making the trip back to Chicago this May for the fourth year in a row for the Chicagoland Pipe Collectors Club Pipe show. Anyone else who’s going to be there feel free to come say hi if you see me. I’ll be the guy in a kilt smoking a pipe.

After nearly six hours of driving I have checked in to my hotel and now I plan on sleeping off the long drive. Later I will be in the smoking tent,come by and say hello,I'm the one dressed in black with my hair greased back.

Details are coming together, friends. I can’t tell you how excited I am for this year’s show. October 7th, Fort Worth, TX. Mark your calendars.

No pipe for me today as the rain at work didn’t make it worthwhile. What I did instead was complete my preparations for the UK Pipe Show which will be held in Nottingham on the 29th. I’m definitely going no so if anyone else is give me a shout, it would be great to meet some of you.

Surprise episode of Country Squire at the Texas Pipe Show this evening thankfully it’s quiet so I can watch live. Can’t smoke while I’m working but I have my Luigi Viprati and some Orlik Golden Sliced for when I get out later.

Its ten to 8 o clock,and I’m finally in the smoking tent,one of my tins of Dunhill flake turned three years old today so I cracked it open and I’m now smoking some in my Savinelli Trevi with my old friend Johnny Walker.

First smoke in my new pipe which I will discuss later but I'm also trying a new cocktail,a gin & tonic. I've been wanting to try one for a while and I'm not sure if I like it yet but it is a change from my usual choices.

Friday Swap and smoke and this is all the money that I'm spending today. I will have individual pictures of my new pipes later. For now I've retired to the hotel to relax for a while but of course I will be back in the tent later.
