There’s no definitive answer. Some GFFA scholars believe the first human beings originated from the Core planets, but there are stories about ancient civilizations in outer rim planets like Tatooine. The thing is, the GFFA is too old for a clear, simple answer. To put things in perspective, *recorded* history puts the creation of the Jedi Order over 25.000 years before the Battle of Yavin.

The Taungs and Zhells were humanoid species that are considered the responsible for the human expansion in the GFFA. They were both indigenous to Coruscant and fought many wars for control of the planet. Eventually the Zhells defeated the Taungs, becoming the ancestors of the GFFA humans. 

Away from Coruscant, the Taungs eventually became known as Mandalorians.
