@pinkestaura / TY LEE.
Their march towards designated cells was silent. Her mind was not.
She hoped Zuko’s escape had gone well; it would be more than a little disappointing to learn her efforts were for nothing. Yet, there was more. She wished to thank Ty Lee for standing with her; for being even greater a friend she had thought the other to be. Perhaps even to apologize for what she had been dragged into. Own decision had been careful a choice, one Mai was certain of. She didn’t think the same could be said for Ty Lee --- it had been last minute’s reaction, after all. That without mentioning Azula; she was a whole bunch of disturbance on her own.
There is a sigh on her part, no attempt to exchange words though. As distraction from own thoughts, Mai takes note of disgusting surroundings; hates on the place, hates to have her weapons taken, hates the rough hands holding her in place and strangers much too close for her to have any semblance of comfort. This, in the least, is one less worry once they are thrown in their cells. With guards departure, it is just the two of them.
Glance turns to her friend reluctantly; least she ought to do is to say something (she can make that effort; it was her choice that begun this, after all). Resolution doesn’t make actually speaking any easier. Hands search for the comfort of a blade she cannot find, and Mai feels naked; it doesn’t help with her effort to express feelings. “I never expected you to take sides.”
“------------------------------------------------------- It was nice not to be fried by Azula though.”
