I still use my PineTab2, three years on. It's not fast or powerful, but it runs a standard Linux distribution and has a real keyboard attachment, making it well-suited for writing or coding.
It's sort of WriterDeck-adjacent in that it can run distractions, but they're slow enough to be less tempting. Plus as long as you're patient you can build your static site or compile a program.
