As much as we love all things Halloween it has to be said that carving a pumpkin is a bit of a hassle.
Good news, this year there is no need to panic if your local supermarket has sold out of the traditional veg as a creative bunch on Instagram have come up with a very good alternative: a pineapple.
Yes, really. If you want to have this years trendiest jack-o-lantern then you will have to take a detour to the fruit section.
The tropical fruit is proving a popular choice this Halloween, and we can see why as the results are pretty awesome.

A pineapple is actually a surprisingly good (possibly even better) choice. For starters it’s a much more manageable size and already looks slightly creepy with it’s prickly skin and funky hair.
Plus, we would actually eat the tasty insides, because really, we never do get round to making that pumpkin soup...
