On this auspicious Friday evening, I dedicate this artwork to Shriguru Tyagaraja; the founder of the South Indian Classical Karnataka Sangeetam. This artwork was drawn while listening to Pancarathna Keertanams, namely Jagadanandakaraka, Dudukugala Nanne, Sadhinchane, Kanakana Ruchira, and Endaro Mahaanubhavulu with the aroma of sandalwood incense burning throughout the progress. I have learned Carnatic music for about 3 years up to Pancarathna Keertanams & ever since then, this has been my most favorite part of the entire Karnataka Sangita lesson. Even though I did not complete my journey in Carnatic music, I have never stopped singing them, most importantly the Pancharathna Keertanams, and maybe one day I will get back into Carnatic vocals & complete my journey as a singer!
