pi: white. Plain, clean and white, the colour that ironically encompasses all others.
Just got home after watching Life of Pi in 3D with my friends.
That movie was probably the most perfect movies I've ever seen. The cinematography was simply enchanting, and it wasn't just the plot that made me sob buckets.
I swear I could smell the rain at the beginning of the movie, when Pi is still in his town in India and coming home from college, and everyone's in raincoats.
I know this isn't really related to synesthesia, but it is something that piqued my aesthetic appeal. The colors, the music, the dialogues. The ending where it's up to you to decide which story to believe.
I'm still reeling with the exquisite splendor of it all. Hats off to you, Ang Lee.
And, I'm also from India, living away from home, so it also brought out some of my nostalgia.
