It hurts to be questioned like that. "Do you love me?" Was the over lapped question. I feel like my heart got stabbed by a three edged blade and wrung. I want to be alone. In darkness. You stole my lips. Though at the time we were so tired of everything, or at least I was. We watched the talent show and intermission started. We got up and went around to see if anyone else I knew was around. Then you pulled me outside and wrapped your arms around my shivering body. "is there anywhere you haven't seen at school yet?" "i pretty much saw everything already". We took a seat on a bench, or at least you did and I sat on your lap, sideways. We had small talk, I told you my day and you told me yours. But then a gust of wind brought your lips to my cheek. And again. And again. And again. My heart wished that you could surround me and take me into your body so that I could vanish into your heart. But then I heard "--you're making me greedy." I turned and saw you hesitate, then closed the space between our lips. As you drew back, you must have seen my eyes widen. I too, leaned forward and tasted you. I hadn't had the chance to fully draw away when you come to me again.. but this time I was ready, you stole my 1st, 2nd, and 3rd kiss in the same minute. We silently went back to sitting in partial darkness, with only the building's light illuminating your face. My arms fit perfectly around your neck and yours around my waist.
We walked back into the cafeteria and sat down, head rested against each other. I couldn't remember or didn't want to pay attention to what happened next until a love song played. At one moment, you looked at me. I craned my neck to kiss your cheek but you caught me in your lips again...
Oh dear..
That small smile.. the one you gave to me when you thought i was hard at work doing something. that one. I feel like im discovering what love is just with what you do. That smile... i've completely fallen for it. When you snuck a glance at me... and smiled so slightly... and looked back... oh dear... you could stop time and bend space. you could destroy armies and mend hearts. you could even restart mine.... I'm so head over heels
