Hiiii Babette, heb je dat stukje van Pierre Gasly gelezen āYou Want To Know the Real Pierreā ? Een persoonlijk stuk over Pierre en zijn race geschiedenis het is echt prachtig en het lezen waard!
Dit is een van de stukken die mij emotioneel maakte en het doet me ook zo erg aan Alex denken;

De media en F1 zijn in mijn ogen zĆ³ pro Red Bull dat je geen kritiek kan geven of je wordt al aangevallen door Max Verstappen en Red Bull fans.
Dit klinkt misschien overdreven, maar ik werd echt emotioneel en moest bijna huilen. Pierre was er mentaal gewoon doorheen bij Red Bull en de media bleef maar doorgaan met negatieve stukjes schrijven over hem en laten we niet over Formule 1 Cafe beginnen. Hypocrieten nummer 1. Zij waren Pierre aan het bashen toen hij voor Red Bull reed en nu hij bij AT zit vinden ze hem geweldig. Ik hoop trouwens echt dat Alex een tweede kans krijgt. Hij maakt letterlijk bijna hetzelfde mee als Pierre.
Sorry Babette dat dit een rant is geworden, maar soms ben ik F1 en de media een beetje zat. Ze weten wat ze doen wanneer ze een bepaald stuk schrijven, ze weten hoe fans zullen reageren.
Maar goed ik ben nog steeds een super grote fan van de sport en kan niet wachten tot het weekend! Alvast veel kijk plezier!!!
Ps: sorry dat het zo lang is geworden en dat ik het niet in het Engels heb getypt (ben zo lui). Als je wilt mag je in het Engels antwoorden zodat andere het ook kunnen begrijpen.

Ik heb hem vlak voordat ik je bericht zag gelezen en mijn kippenvel/tranen zijn nog niet weg getrokken. The Playerās Tribune kiest telkens precies de mensen met de verhalen uit die mij echt een wrak maken hahah, in 2018 hadden ze ook het verhaal van Daniel en toen hield ik het ook niet droog. Ik ben zo trots dat Pierre dit gedeeld heeft, het is zo belangrijk!
Het stukje wat jij citeerde is zo typisch voor Red Bull en inderdaad precies hetzelfde als wat Alex meemaakte. Wij Nederlanders zijn natuurlijk de eerste die de houding van Ziggo en de media meemaken rondom Max en zijn teamgenoot. Iedereen was pro Daniel (logisch, die man valt niet te haten haha) maar bij Pierre en Alex zijn ze grandioos de fout in gegaan. Maar dat is Ziggo.. het is hetzelfde als zeggen dat eenĀ āmental coachā hebben zwak is. BELACHELIJK. Niemand is volgens de RBR/Max fans beter dan Max en niemand verdiend succes in het team. RBR (Christian en Helmut) heeft ook eens een oranje bril op... en dit: āIt was a difficult time for me at Red Bull because I didnāt feel like I was really supported and treated the same way as others there have been.ā spreekt boekdelen. 1 foutje en RBR/de media vind je niets waard. 1 foutje bij Max en hij blijft een held. Scheef... of niet soms?
Na Monza 2020 was Pierre een held voor Ziggo, daarvoor was hij niets, zwak en deed hij alles verkeerd. Na Spa 2019 was Charles een held voor Ziggo, na die crash tijdens de Sakhir GP vorig jaar of Oostenrijk 2019 was ie een aartsvijand. Inderdaad, hypocrieten. F1 media draait alles in een bepaalde richting, het ene moment ben je een held - een race later ben je de slechtste coureur ooit (ik bedoel kijk naar Seb, die is ook vanuit elke hoek uitgescholden de afgelopen jaren).Ā Ā Wees blij dat we het inzien, er zijn zo veel Nederlandse fans die alles tot zich nemen...
Nooit sorry zeggen voor een rant! Ik denk dat je onder tussen wel weet hoe leuk ik dit soort dingen vind hhahhaha dus je hebt mijn avond gemaakt. Nou ik ga nog even een Engels stukje toevoegen hahaha. Als je hier verder over wilt praten: je weet me te vinden!Ā

š¬š§Well here we are again haha. I know you all will have an opinion on this as well and I canāt wait to hear them. To recap: Anon talked about the story that was posted today and that the way Pierre spoke about his time at RBR (the quote Anon added) is very reminiscent of Alex and his situation. Which isnāt strange since RBR just does this... itās almost their branding.Ā
We have talked about Ziggo on my blog before and how their orange glasses disrupt the full F1 picture. Anon called them hypocrites, I agree. When Pierre was at RBR he was weak/a failure, now heās at AT and he is a hero. What would happen if Alex had been placed back? Would the mediaās opinion change too?
I fully agree with Anonās view on the way Pierre (and Alex) was treated by RBR and the media. It was disgusting and to now know how mentally broken he was, it makes my blood boil. Ziggo and I have been on a crossroads for years now, but Iām glad people are noticing it now too. I said to Anon that in Monza 2020 Pierre was a hero to Ziggo (and other media), but before that he was labelled horrible/weak and not worthy of the RBR seat. Same goes for Charles (not that he needs defending, but hold on). Charles was a hero at Spa/Monza 2019, but when he collided with Max in both Austria and Sakhir (the second Bahrain GP) he was the enemy. It seems that if someone even dares to touch Max in this country or in RBR - hate is not the only thing that gets thrown your way. Now obviously (and Anon this is something I want to add) itās not Maxās fault, he is not the reason the media and fans are so critical of everyone next to him. Itās the mentality RBR puts out in my opinion.
