Filter Instagram posts by keyword, date, likes and location
Picodash has updated search and filtering capabilities for Instagram posts.
You can now filter Instagram feeds by:
Filter by keyword, #hashtags, tagged users or tagged places
Filter by date/time range
Filter by like count or sort by likes
Filter by location on map
Filter by Keyword
You can filter any Instagram feed by keyword. Open any user profile, hashtag, places, likes or geo-location feed, load some photos and you can filter by any keyword, just start typing in any word and it will automatically start filtering the posts by keywords in the post’s caption and other meta data.
You can also use the hashtag, users and places buttons to get the list and filter the loaded posts with #hashtags, tagged users and tagged places. Clicking on the buttons will show a list of hashtags, users or places in the posts loaded on screen.
Filter by date/time
You can user the date/time filter to set a date range for the Instagram posts. The feeds load posts in reverse chronological order, latest photo first and back to old photos. You can set a date back to any date/time and start loading posts from that date in reverse chronological order.
The date/time filter works for user feed, places feed and geo-location feeds. It is not available for hashtag feed and your like feed.
Filter by Likes
All feeds can be filtered by like count and you can sort feed starting with most number of likes. The like filter works on the posts loaded on screen, you will have to load a bunch of posts by scrolling and then apply the filter.
The like sort can be activated by clicking “LIKES” button, this will sort all the posts starting with the most likes. To go back to the original time sort, click on the “LIKES” button again
The filter by like count is useful if you want to see only the posts which have more that a certain number of likes, just input the like count and the loaded posts are filtered according to it. You can also click on the “>” symbol to change it “<”, this will filter posts with likes less than the value entered.
Filter on Map
Map filter is activated by clicking on the “MAP” button, this will show the map visualization of all the posts that are geo-tagged. The map markers are clustered and a count is shown, you can click on it to zoom in and find the actual location on map.
You can click on individual marker on map to reveal the location and see the posts from that location, you can easily jump the places feed for that location.
Filter by type
You filter the feeds to show only Photos or only Videos. Press “p” to show only Photos, press “v” to show videos only and “a” to show all posts.
Watch the DEMO Video:
Filter by likes, type, keywords and map will filter the posts that are loaded on the screen, for example like sort will not sort all of user’s posts automatically, it will only sort the user posts that are loaded on screen. If you want to sort all of user’s posts then you have to first load all the posts by scrolling down and then press the sort likes button. All these filters work for all feeds - user profile, hashtags, places feed, geo-location feed and your liked posts.
Filter by date/time will filter and display from all Instagram posts (not just the ones loaded on screen). This filter works for user profile, places feed and geo-location feeds. Not available for #hashtag and your liked feeds.
